I have been with my wife for 23 years and couldn't imagine life without her.
This is very sad he must of been lost without his better half.

The loss of a spouse is the #1 traumatic experiences. I am so saddened by this news but he was obviously in deep despair. God Bless his soul and his family. So sad.

Just makes ya feel numb,sick feeling and tearful at the same time to read something like that.I was just hoping his death was from a broken heart of missing his wife so much and that was it.Gonna be sad not seeing Bert walking in and out of the IPTAY Office on Saturdays during the home Football season shaking hand,talking and getting in his golf cart and taking off.Prayers to both his Daughters.

Its an action. I mean that to say that people who do commit suicide, do not want to die any more than you or I. The fear of death is constant, however; something has happened that makes the fear of living much worse. I read a quote one time that compared it to being in a burning building. The fear of jumping doesn't go away, much like the fear of death, but the flames from within make it unbearable to stay and hope for a recovery.
It is always hard for the survivors to deal with a suicide, but they should know there was nothing they could do. Bert didn't kill himself, it wasn't a choice he made; rather his wife's cancer lead to his death.
He and Lee Ann are at peace and are reunited in an orange and purple clad heaven. I only hope that his two girls are able to recover.

and what they are dealing with and anyone that says hurtful things towards someone that has committed suicide has never had to deal with it closely. There are some out there that find out that they will be going through a long agonizing sickness and death and choose to go out before that happens. Then there are some that are dealing with so much pain that all the therapy, medicine, and even people telling them how much they love and care for them cannot help, and to these people death is the only relief they can get. Rest in peace Mr. Henderson.

Exactly. It's not a choice anyone wants to make. Sometimes life throws us too many lemons and no access to sugar to make lemonade.
