Yep, he has his masters, years of coaching experience. Working in AD office now, great connections, football minded, great personality and very professional. And internal. Been loyal to Clemson for many years now. I think he would be a great fit.

while he was head coach, I thought he would make a better AD than head coach.
Before all of you blast me for it, why don't you give me one good reason he would not make a good AD? He recruited well, took care of the kids, the parents loved him, he is a good christian man. I think he's perfect.

win big at Clemson. He never had that mindset. An effective AD has to KNOW it can done & the ability to translate that belief in so many areas. Hence it has taken TDP years to recover from Bobby Robinson (a very nice man but had no vision).

was that he allowed stubborn pride to get in the way of his making some tough yet critically important coaching changes. It has been suggested that he was loyal to a fault and I would have to agree with that assessment. Not a good trait for an AD to have.

Ron West is a good Clemson guy. Played here and coached here ten years under Bowden and did a great job. Recruited Gaines Adams, Sapp, and Bowers to name a few and one heck of a coach. Loves Clemson too. But he is too busy being co coordinator at Arizona State. So I guess not.
