for those blaming brownell on our lack of intensity/effort..

i can promise you this isn't what he expected. brownell builds his program on intensity and effort. he was as stunned about how the players reacted as anyone in his postgame press conference.
i dont think you can place the blame for 18-21 year old kids lack of intensity. as a coach myself, i know that fans and coaches often care more about a win/loss than the players ever do. this will be address this week in practice leading up to FSU. i suspect he will be trying to find the players who really care and are going to give effort the entire game. i expect our effort and outcome will be much different vs FSU. will we win? i'm not saying that i'm just saying the effort will be different and the game will be much more competitive.

their length. I'm not looking to this game Saturday for redemption.
There's always hope, though. It usually takes about 3/4 of a season to beat that out of me.

teams like FSU, Pitt and UNC all create match-up problems for Clemson.

It is BB fault. He is the one making the big bucks.

It seems to me that he is a ###### head some times and very stubborn. The last two games we have seemed really flat and we shouldnt have been. @pitt while 4-1 in ACC and we dont care?????
0-56 and we dont care????
BB still is safe if we make the NIT but that is a stretch right now. we likely need 18 wins to have a shot and I dont see 5 more.

Brownell is one of the least paid coaches in the ACC. And with the stretch of games we have on our schedule, you think it's impossible that our players are intimidated?
Also, you don't see us winning 5 more games? Georgia Tech twice, Wake Forest again, Miami, and NC State are winnable games. We are a better team at home.

BB becomes a better coach?
He is right now, as his team looks, overpaid.

No, not my point at all.
His pay reflects our university's investment in our basketball program.

see against FSU - all we want is hustle like most sports teams do at Clemson! I have watched the worst Tiger games in my over 50 years with Brownell as coach and to be fair, one of the best at Duke - I know they can do it, and I am the one who said I would like to see more fire in Brownells body stance and comments to players at the sideline. Good Luck Tigers!

You must have slept through the Shyatt years! The difference is recruitung fell apart under Shyatt while at least for now Brownell is now recruiting fairly well. More performances like the last two and that too will change, however.

What you guys don't understand is how important the Clemson game is to the UNC players and coaches when it is played in Chapel Hill! We will always get a super human effort out of the Tar Heels in that game. It is the equivalent of Clemson-South Carolina to them! McAdoo and company have never played that good this whole year! None of them want to be the first to lose to Clemson at home! Put that kind of effort with the talent they have and you get what we saw Sunday night....and probably a lot of times just like that in the future!

True...If UNC players care half as much as their fans vs CU,

then we will need a super-human night to win! Do you remember Doherty's team that was pathetic until we played them and no one on their team could miss. It is the only streak that team did not lose. It now means the world to their fanbase and I get to hear about it every year we play here.
Can't wait to play them in Littlejohn!

a player in Chapel Hill, nor will there EVER be, who wants to play on the team that first loses to Clemson. Our guys need to go into those games with the heels with that same mindset. It is about more than just basketball talent.
