We have to find a way to defend the underneath crossing

routes. Breeland got picked off by the Ref on one but I'm not sure if he would have caught him anyway. Seems like we lack top end speed in the secondary. Wish Alexander was healthy and able to win a spot.

Don't forget... NC St has been working on us and gameplanning for us the whole time. I think their struggles with Richmond last week testify to this. They held all of those formations for us. Even at the risk of losing last week.

Had we been clicking like we normally do on offense we would have still won that game ON THE ROAD by 3 or 4 touchdowns.

Glad to get the W. Lets put it all together against Wake.

I agree but I think some of that is on the LBs

Anthony had a good game statistically but he wasn't reading the QB like should have been. Still I agree that we need to stop those crossing routes. I'd put Jenkins in for that specifically. He's not the biggest but he's easily the quickest of our CBs and he should excel in that situation

I'd also like to see us run some of those underneath crosses

to get Sammy and crew the ball while they are running. We seem to throw to Sammy for two yards while standing still a lot.

That's on Chad. His playcalling wasn't the best yesterday***

Right now, we are being coached to give them the underneath passes if they can catch 'em. I suppose Venables just doesn't have confidence in our young DBs to cover tightly.

I believe we will tighten up as the season progresses and we get more experience.
