I think Martavis Bryant is the one that is going to step up

with Nuk leaving. I know Martavis was suspended for the bowl, but he is expected back isn't he? I think Charone and has been fine, Adam Humphries has bee great, but Martavis has been the one that has looked like a superstar at times. It seem like he could be a big-time pro himself. Sammy goes without saying.

Just curious why people aren't talking about Martavis?

Thumbs-up on MARTAVIS. A couple of thoughts:

1) Martavis is uber-talented. Fast with excellent hands.

2) Martavis appears to be marginal student.

3) I fear Martavis may be better pro than college player.

Message to Martavis - Hit the damm books. Show up to class. Find a major you can handle, get to work and get your degree. It's worth it, and you can do it with some dedication. You have an NFL career in front of you with hard work - push yourself to become well-rounded. No kidding. Just do it.

Bryant probably has more potential (physically) than any of the WRs at Clemson. (including Hopkins & Watkins) Unfortunately, it has taken him longer to become the college football player that many think he is capable of becoming. I hope he figures it out on/off the football field.

Watkins has certainly produced more. (and appears to have better hands) However, Bryant is taller & might be faster. (based on what I've read, not seen) If that is the case, then Bryant has more potential IMO. As he would have better speed/size but lose the competition of better hands.

However, at the end of the day we all get paid based on production.
It doesn't matter what field you are in, potential only goes so far.
If you aren't productive, you aren't likely to be employed for very long.

at this point in his career academics should not be a problem. Beside the fact that it is in HIS best interest to do well others depend on it too. My hope is that missing out on the bowl wakes him up and he realizes the impact of his work ethic. He will be relied on and needs to step up.
