How do we make the playoff with a loss?

I don't see a two loss team getting in, like many of you do. Yes, we're one of the top four teams, but if we lose to ND twice, A&M would likely deserve a shot at them since at that point, we would have proven we couldn't beat them. Change my mind.
I mean, we're not going to lose...but...

I agree, no way we get in with two losses.

Nor should we.

If we can't beat them this time, we are not worthy of a spot

We won't get in with 2 losses, but here is the path for the dream:
OSU loses to Northwestern (not going to happen) USC loses to Washington (who knows but not likely) Bama beats Florida (highly likely) Tulsa beats Cincy (not likely) Tennessee beats A&M (not going to happen)
Bama and Notre Dame are in in your scenario.
If all 5 of those things above happened, then we could get in with a loss.
The final 4 could consist of Bama, Notre Dame, BIG 12 champ and Clemson.

If Clemson loses...

Ohio State and A&M will both jump Clemson in the CFP poll and Clemson will likely be playing in the Capital One Orange Bowl on 1/2/21.

Does Clemson go to a bowl game if they miss the playoffs.

We don't and we shouldn't....any team with two losses doesn't belong...and to be honest...if we can't beat Notre Dame...we want no part of Alabama....
A two loss team belongs about as much as a 6-0 Big Ten Champion....
Oops....

People who want an expanded playoff already have one, it's just not official.

exactly what is at stake Saturday. Same as has been the case in the ACC Championship game for several years now. A win gets you a CFP spot. A loss sends you to a much lesser bowl. The only difference is, in this Covid year, whether to go bowling or not after such a loss would be a decision that actually required some thought.
I hate thinking, so let's just do what we do, and WIN this thing!

If we lose to ND again with all the talent we have and maybe the best College QB ever. Not to mention the best Clemson running back ever . Our Coaches will need to start evaluating their own selfs . I really hope with 2 weeks we add some new wrinkles and overwhelm the Irish. We have gotten a little predictable on O and no Push by the O-line hasn’t helped. We usually get by , by just how much talent we have but ND has good players also.
