10 Schools Due to Win a National Championship

can't argue with that...

Apr 19, 2012, 10:17 AM

seems to be sound logic.

let's get this season rolling!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson is definitely overdue...

Apr 19, 2012, 10:18 AM

If we keep recruiting and keep our coaching staff in tact for 3-4 more years minimum, I def see a titel coming to Tigertown.

A national title.

It would be nice but no way we can keep coach morris another 2-3 years

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You think he has any ambition to overtake Dabo as HC?

Apr 19, 2012, 11:39 AM

I might get torched for this comment.

I'm sure he has thrown the opportunity around to keep in interested in staying. That fat paycheck he is earning probably worked pretty well too, haha!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dabo could take a management job or something***

I'd think VT would be #1 with UGA # 2.VT never won one.

Apr 19, 2012, 10:26 AM

UGA hasn't since 1980.

I was born in the 80's so I didnt really get to experience

Apr 19, 2012, 10:44 AM

what Clemson football was all about back then.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE?!?

I can't even imagine what it would be like to be one of the top teams in the country and playing for a National Championship. Much less winning the thing!!

It was wonderful. "The Band" played marching through the streets, into the stadium. Clemson was known to beat legendary coaches in all our bowls, yet we were always showed as underdogs by the media, and the coots were still more than a decade from the first bowl victory. ;)

sounds like paradise....haha!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nothing like...

Apr 20, 2012, 2:04 AM [ in reply to I was born in the 80's so I didnt really get to experience ]

...going into a game against whoever, didn't matter who the opponent was, knowing that you had a great chance to win.

The 1990's stole that away from us, but I strongly feel that those days are quickly going to be familiar to us again.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

flip it around

Apr 19, 2012, 10:44 AM [ in reply to I'd think VT would be #1 with UGA # 2.VT never won one. ]

VT has NEVER had a better signing class than underachieving JOEjuh. Not even close with those two schools talent on paper. UGAy is the biggest underachiever.

True!

UGAy is the most overrated football program in college football

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If I had to add one, I would maybe add Miami

Apr 19, 2012, 11:35 AM

but I don't see that happening any time soon.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm confused. Coots tell me they're due to win SEC, MNC...

Apr 19, 2012, 1:01 PM

...and Super Bowl.

I agree with the top 3 and Wisconsin

Apr 19, 2012, 1:17 PM

Once again no coots to be found on a list with anything involved with winning

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We are overdue for the STATE championship too.***

Apr 19, 2012, 2:13 PM

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So let's do it!***

Re: Football Update: 10 Schools Due to Win a National Championship

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no one is "due" to win a National Championship. You have to earn it,and you don't do that by giving up double digit losses to a Ga.Tech, N.C.State or the coots in the same season.Go undefeated in the regular season then we can talk about whether or not we are "due".
