We are going to be disappointed

After we beat Bama if we expect eSECpn to just abandon their "cash cow" (Alabama and the SEC)and start praising us. It will be played off as an unfortunate fluke. It's not fair but this world, especially big $$$ CFB. Don't shoot the messenger, I will be as frustrated as anyone but I am preparing myself maybe I won't have a stroke.

Why does it have to be an either or situation?
If Clemson wins why can't it be that the SEC is the best conference in college football but there are other teams out there that are just as good?

When your team starts earning their keep and contributing to the "greatness" of the SEC, then and only the will the SEC be the greatest. That will mean even the doormat team, yes, your coots, will be at least 6-6 and y'all are a ways off from that mark.

conference and other teams were allowed to be just as good we wouldn't have this problem to start with.

For Carolina fans you fail to understand something of long history. Clemson was and is a primary football school in a traditional basketball conference so we have had to largely stand on our own merits in the midst of the SEC footprint. We refuse to be compared to any specific conference, especially since Gamecock fans want no part of our joining the SEC! Our record speaks loudly for what Clemson has accomplished. Very few teams have ever won fourteen straight games and we will be a championship program no matter the outcome of the upcoming national championship. The ACC is proud of the Tigers, but we don't need to ride coat tails unlike USuck.

Why do you even care?
ESPN, Fox Sports, et al have value in two things only - BROADCASTING GAMES and REPORTING THE RESULTS OF GAMES. Their analysis / commentary is usually worthless. ESPECIALLY ESPN. They are quickly becoming the MSNBC of sports television. If they treat a national champion Clemson as you predict they will, it just serves to further erode credibility for the portion of their broadcast that many already ignore.
