We Should ALL pull for Miami tonight!

Posted: Dec 30, 2017 8:04 PM

Because their in the ACC!

And we beat them!

We beat them bad, so it will make us look good if they win the Orange Bowl.

It's better to feel good!***

the cfp. I hope all other ACC teams get destroyed.

Oh, ok

1. Those teams recruit against us.
2. Their fans dislike Clemson, therefore I want them to be miserable.
3. As Clemson in the CFP era, win and you're in. SoS doesn't matter.
4. I hate the ACC and John Swofford for what they did to Clemson in the 80s (tagging on an extra punishment)
5. I hate the ACC and John Swofford for how they got UNCheat of scot free.
6. Whether someone cheers for or against a team makes no difference anyway.
7. The ACC is not a source of pride for me.

How's that?

There's something in these hills.

I never pull for teams that are constant recruiting rivals.

Granted, we have nationwide pipelines now, but our bread basket is the southeast. I would love for any and all other Southeast team whether they're ACC or SEC to be awful.

Yes, I understand the argument the other way. I really do. But if you look at basketball, do you really think UNC or Duke really cares what Clemson does on the hardwood? What we have done historically has not put any of those banners up at the Dean Smith Center.

Do you think recruits are going to want to play for a team

Posted: Dec 30, 2017 8:27 PM

in a conference that is constantly smoked by other conference teams and is called a Basketball Conference?

Yes. How many national titles do FSU and Clemson have?

Posted: Dec 30, 2017 8:33 PM

Outside of FSU, Clemson, Miami and Virginia Tech, there will be no other national titles in football for the ACC. Every other ACC school is basketball first. Until that mindset changes in the conference, there's no use in having the SEC's infamous "everybody loves everybody" mentality.

You're not real smart. Not good for us if the ACC is looked at like the PAC 12

Why, so ESPIN talking heads can carry on about the worthlessness of the ACC? The ACC's dominance in bowls last year meant nothing to them but just wait and see if the ACC loses more bowls than it wins. It will mean something to those morons then.

I've never understood why our fans presume that fellow ACC members and fans are more evil than other conferences just because we play them every year. They aren't. Other conferences are and the SEC is chief among them, obvious money cheating, bag men and buying off parents. Obvious dirty play and intent to injure. For obnoxiousness, I have never seen the beat of Maryland for an ACC team, but NC State gave it a run this year for general whininess.

Miami showed it s butt in the 1990s. Don't love them, but don't hate them either. Met Miami fans at the Championship and overall they were loud and did a bunch of mugging but reasonably cool and friendly. Not much like chickens. I'd not mind being able to say that the ACC has dominated the Obowl since CU v. WVA in 2012.

And you want the talking heads to say even after we win that we don't deserve it because we had an unfair advantage getting into the playoffs by not playing anyone? It ain't true, but they'll use it. Miami victory probably won't happen, but it does not hurt us and it does help fight the cascade of BS from ESPIN. And BS or not, they effect the ratings, which impacts whether we get back in the playoffs next year.

I would rather mark richt appear upset.

You should never chalk up to conspiracy what you can reliably attribute to stupidity. Because stupidity is a much more powerful force in the course of human events.

Don't think he can get upset- he kinda comes across as a stoner when he talks. Reminds me of an old Cheech and Chong comedy skit.

great gig he has in Miami

moderate expectations, year round sun, and south beach recruits itself. I would be smiling and stoned all of the time too.

Well, you got yr wish. I think he was upset about the obvious holding call the refs missed on the long pass play! He will probably get a couple of tokes in at half time and feel better in the second half.

Whatever..not much of a conf homer. You could argue that it would be better for our conf rivals to lose and hurt their recruiting. We don't recruit vs Wisky very often....

Yea I hope we fall to number 5 in the power conference

It does matter, all big recruits want to play in the worse

I would prefer Miami to win. It is better for the ACC and will take the conference bowl record to 5 -4. Big 10 has not lost a bowl game. Conference bowl records should not determine which conference is best, but many use it as a measuring stick. Those talking heads will talk all year about how good the Big 10 was and how they were left out. Last year, the Big 10 record was one of the worst.

I feel sorry for the PAC 12; 1-8.

Yep. Even though the Big 10 has been matched up against

lower ranking teams in about all of their bowl games. That will still be the dialogue I'm sure.

No.

1st, it’s they're not their.
2nd, pulling for a conference is coot logic.
3rd , winning another natty will make us look a whole lot better.

Like it or not other ACC teams winning bowls is important. Allot of people use this to gauge the strength of conference like it or not. We do not want to be a 1 loss team left out due to conference perception.

Will it help us beat Alabama?

Bottom feeders talk about their conference.

Posted: Dec 30, 2017 11:33 PM

Bama is not all giddy over the Miss State win over Louisville.
Georgia is not going to care whether or not South Carolina wins their whatever bowl.

Clemson fans do not like UNC, Duke, NCSU, Virginia, FSU, Louisville, Pitt, Cuse, GT, or Miami. It's ok if those teams cheer for us. I am not cheering for them.
