He sounds like a GENIUS

Jun 15, 2018, 3:52 PM

...where do I sign up for a subscription?

Of course, he also assumes 'Bama will be #1.

I get it, but that's assuming a lot, like a) Clemson's OL doesn't improve in 2018 AND plays terrible (again) b) Clemson still can't throw the ball downfield c) Tee Higgins is injured agian d) We turn the ball over, and they don't.

Prediction: Our defesne will be better than theirs. Our offense will be better than theirs. Bama's special teams will be better than ours.

I like our chances.

Aussie punter is gone... FG kicker was bad... DBs lost a lot

Damm near 100% on QB play and avoiding injuries

This Clemson team is rock solid.

Honestly folks I hope you are right, but this kind of unbridled optimism worries me. Frank Howard once said: "I'd rather start at the back of the room, and move to the front than start at the front of the room and move to the back." We're starting at the front of the room, which means that we'll be in everyone's bulls eye, and surprise no one. What about our OL? Haven't heard a lot about them lately, and we haven't really had a great running game recently. I hope that my concerns are baseless.

Your points are well taken. I like the Frank Howard quote. Another way of stating it is, "the way up is down." As I recall, all of us thought Clemson was going to beat 'Bama last January. Don't get me wrong, I'm very confident about this Tiger team and think they will go far, but let's establish a powerful run game, a more dangerous downfield passing game and improved special teams. Then, our hopes will be satisfied.

I won $500 betting Bama

Jun 17, 2018, 10:12 PM

As a 1984 Clemson grad, easiest money I ever made.

Short story is I had $60 at 8-1 Futures bet on Clemson to win it all. Wanted to hedge bet, and wanted Clemson to win out, but with KB playing, regrettably did not see the Tigers having a real chance to pull it out.

Amen. I read somewhere that we have trouble recruiting top offensive lineman because don't have a good record of putting OL in the NFL. If this is true, how do we about correcting this? Thanks.
