WatchESPN question

I have Time Warner Cable and the watch ESPN app works great on my iPad. I can't get it to work on my MacBook Pro. I am new to a MacBook, but I made sure I had all of the requirements. Once I hit the "watch live" button, nothing happens. I know that some items are blacked out, so i tried to just watch some replays and still get nothing.
I am just trying to prepare for the next two weeks when I know the Clemson games will be online. I can watch them on my iPad if I have to, but I would like to link up to my TV. I have gotten it to work on my office PC in the past...I figure I am just missing something on the Mac end.
Any thoughts before I hit up their service number...TIA

watching the Clemson replay. Make sure you are using safari and not chrome or firefox. Chrome is a pos on the Macbook. I don't understand why but it looks like crap and is just flat bad (maybe not optimized for the retina, but still. Are you running mountain lion?

Best way to watch ESPN3 on TV is through an XBox 360.
The game this week is also apparently streamed through the ACC Network online, so that may work through your Macbook.

it doesn't come pre-installed anymore.
