that mid's 90's stuff....BTEzra, 3eyeblind, etc.....

Listening to anything on this list when I started HS in the late 80's is like him listening so something from 2002-ish. For the stuff he likes though, it would be like me going back to the early 60's when I was an adolescent, and I don't like most of that bubblegum pre-Summer of Love crap. I think music made a big left turn with the Beatles, and since then there's a large body of music that's a lot more generally likeable by more people.

For example. My son might like a Zep song from the 70's as much as a PJ song from the 2000's....big thirty year span there but similarly likable music. Pre-Beatles, not quite the same....no one is going to have Glen Miller on the same playlist as an Elvis tune.

No real point, just sorta weird to think about it in relative terms.
