Play in a conference with a lot of ranked opponents, and win, a lot.
ACC = bad for Clemson. bad for football.

is that the competition is so weak, it can make joke coaches look brilliant.
It wasn't always this way, but boy it is now.

all we had to do is beat the teams on OUR schedule
12-0 with OUR schedule woulda been in the national title
we lost to FSU.......we lost to SCar.......beat them and your in.
not disagreeing with the fact that the ACC SUCKS and is bad for football, but to say our schedule prevents us from playing in the national title is ignorant
WE...CLEMSON screwed this up all we had to do is beat FSU and SCAR..........he!! beat SCar and we were getting an at large bid to sugar bowl

but we didn't...........the arguement was basically we can't play in a national title game with the conference we're in...........and that's not true.............had we beaten FSU and SCar we would be..........not saying we deserve to at 10-2

Seriously!!! It would not be validated in any conference, because we just don't have the players to accomplish that feat. They simply fold when playing physical teams. Bottom line, due to db's that run around like keystone cops and others just scared of the other team they are facing, we would be doomed (perfect example West Virginia).
