I was just about to post a link to this article.

Some key points for those without access...

* Wilkins saved over $15,000 while attending Clemson.

* Clemson athletes on full scholarship living off-campus received $1,532 monthly for the cost of attendance, room and board.

paid $300 for rent on his off campus apartment. That came out of the $1500 stipend.

Full scholarship covers tuition, training table, etc.
