They ought to write him a letter of apology

Feb 20, 2013, 10:31 AM

tried to do the right thing, although probably didn't do due diligence in researching local laws. His reputation will be forever tarnished now, no one reads or cares about exonoration, they only remember the initial headline splash.

NY's oppresive gun control is just one more reason

Feb 20, 2013, 10:48 AM

I do not have any desire to visit the state.

Yeah, your right. Anyone should be able to go to an airport with a firearm. Try going through security with a bottle of water first.

You can go to the airport with either. You can't go through security with either. It's irrelevant.

Same goes for everybody who compared this to plaxico burress

Feb 20, 2013, 10:49 AM [ in reply to They ought to write him a letter of apology ]

All day long ESPN kept comparing this to Plaxico Burress...
This indecent is in a completely different universe from that thug firing his gun in a crowded night club.

Apologies are due all around.

Apologies from the news media who mischaracterized things, sure, but not from law enforcement. They have laws, and they enforced them. If the DA later decides that he wants to be lenient that's great, but police officers on the scene appear to have correctly enforced the law.

That's all debatable.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Media reports borderlined slanderous

Feb 20, 2013, 11:07 AM [ in reply to Same goes for everybody who compared this to plaxico burress ]

Misleading and flat out wrong...claiming he was trying to board plane with loaded weapon and comparing it to the Plaxico Burress incident. Damage to his character has been done but of course the media will not go back and clarify reports.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And these false reports should make people question

Feb 20, 2013, 12:06 PM

everything they read on otherwise regarded "reliable" sources such as CNN or ESPN (not blogs or other questionable websites).

They were feeding the anti-gun narrative that has permeated through the media.

Question EVERYTHING.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wait. Didn't someone on here say he was a thug?

Feb 20, 2013, 11:14 AM

That has to count against him, right?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Stupid then so why bring it back up?***
