The Greenville radio station and former tv station that is now WYFF.
Years ago it was claimed that WFBC stood for watch Furman beat Clemson.
I doubt if that was true. But if it was, that didn't work out too well for them.

The other version was the it stood for "First Baptist Church".

i have heard the fbc (first baptist church) was because the broadcast originated from the basement of the church before moving on to another location.
