Fireball has covid-19 cure all PSA

Apr 9, 2020, 10:47 AM

take zinc - run to the Walmarts in your pj's now and get the supplements before the hoarders discover the cure

then drink massive amounts of vodka tonic or gin and tonic. Tonic water contains lower levels of quinine. Quinine also kills the mosquito disease.

If anything you're mouth will taste like you've been licking old pennies and you won't care.

you is welcome

There's a neighborhood on a hill in Columbia my dad always

Apr 9, 2020, 10:51 AM

called "Quinine Hill". It was on a hill, high above the swamps and mosquito, and as such people built houses there to avoid malaria and mosquitoes.

Didn't say it worked. But it is on a hill, and it is still called that I think. Google found it.

I wonder if you could build a house on a hill tall enough

Apr 9, 2020, 11:36 AM

in Columbia to not see the rest of Columbia?

I worked on the 24th floor of the Affinity building downtown for a while, and it'd have to be taller than that.

Back when they named it, I'd imagine it was higher than

What was it called after they tore down the Wade Hampton

hotel?

It was the AT&T building for a while, and its been about 10 different names I think at this point.

Fakeedit: It was first the At&T, Then affinity, then BB&T, Now South Trust tower.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, prolly not higher than the AT&T building.

Apr 9, 2020, 2:01 PM

I'll always call it that. My best friend was interviewed on WIS when they imploded the Wade Hampton Hotel (true story bro). Was like 7yo at the time.

Apr 9, 2020, 11:06 AM

What were your symptoms? Fever, aches and pains....dry cough?

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

dry mouth, thirsty

Apr 9, 2020, 11:22 AM

just overall cabin fever root rot.

Fireball didn't (doesn't) have it. I might be carrying it. But then again, I might be carrying a lot of things that would make a petri dish look like a picasso painting.

More preventative approach to enjoying social jail time
