Virginia Tech Tailgate

I'm a student and a couple of fellow students and I are driving up for the VT game. We can't afford the $150 tickets so we're planning on watching the game outside of the stadium. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to watch the game/ tailgate before the game?

Here's a parking map. I would guess the general parking will be like 80% Clemson fans, with some scattered throughout the pay lots. http://www.hokietickets.com/parking.html

Make friends who have a tv set up, or go dt and post up at a bar to watch. They have some pretty good bars, but were very strict last time we were up there (2011) about letting any underage people in (idk how old y'all are, but just something to keep in mind). Somewhere (I think it was Hokie House), allowed my underage girlfriend at the time into the main level but not upstairs.

If you can't find anyone in the parking lots (and you probably will) and can't get into any downtown bars (for maybe being underage or something like that), then you can try Macados, Bull and Bones, or BW3. All of those are eating places and have lots of TVs set up.
