Vic Hampton

May 12, 2014, 10:31 AM

Hasn't even signed a free agent contract. What happened to this guy? I thought he was pretty good? The coots could have really used him this year, they have no corners.

As I said in an earlier post.....

Victor Hampton has no one to blame but himself. Off-the-field incidents, concerns about his level of maturity, and some personality traits that are less than appealing clearly had a negative impact on his draft stock.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Wrong. He certainly has character issues that prob caused NFL teams concern, but he was one of the best DBs in the SEC. You shouldn't say things if you haven't paid attention, it costs you your credibility.

You shouldn't say things at all. You sound like a 10th grader trying out for the varsity quiz bowl team.

Plenty of players with huge character issues

Not many of them were DB's running a 4.7.

You're telling me Jeremy Hill and Mettenraper checked out, but Vic was untouchable.

Slow + Character Issues = not drafted.

The best part of the story is that idiot bought his mom a new car last week with money fronted from his agent... Looks like he's gonna be washing dishes and cutting grass for the next few years!

Just reading that lets you know who he played for.

Momma +1... Vic 0... agent -1. No big deal.***

If Darius Robinson can get a free agent contract or try out I'm sure this kid can.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not sure

May 12, 2014, 8:17 PM

At least you know Robinson isn't going rob the locker room or car jack someone in the parking lot.

Vic Hampton has great ball skills and instincts but a 4.7 is

May 12, 2014, 9:16 PM

pretty slow for a CB in the NFL. Add that to being kicked out of high school 3 times + other incidents and (allegedly) getting into a fight a month before the draft and franchises won't touch him. He'll have to play in the CFL or something and keep out of trouble for a year or 2 and maybe then he can make it on a practice squad.
