In the diner scene, he is asked the name of the man in the wheelchair who was imprisoned 15 years ago. Dunn replies "Glass".
I'm pretty sure it has been a plan for a long time.
Unbreakable is a great movie. Split just tried too hard...I'm not really looking forward to Glass. I'm sure it is a decent movie, but I'll wait and watch it when it when it comes on television.

Up until that point the viewers had no idea that Unbreakable and Split were related at all, M Night purposely didn't advertise that this movie was a "sequel" either so it was one of his trademark "big reveals"
