Saban Record: 82-39-1 Win %: 67 Top 25 finishes: 4 Top 10 finishes: 3 Top 5 finishes: 1 Conference titles: 3 National Championships: 1
Dabo Record: 89-28 Win %: 76 Top 25 finishes: 7 Top 10 finishes: 4 Top 5 finishes: 2 Conference titles: 3 National Championships: 1
117 games for Dabo includes his first season, in which he took over mid-season and he therefore only coached 7 games, then gets him current to the end of his first 8 full seasons. 122 games for Saban gets him all the way through his first 10 full seasons. If I had used a 117/117 game comparison, Saban does not get credit for a full season in 2003, which included a conference title and a NC.
There are variables that simply cannot be accounted for and make a perfect comparison impossible, but I tried to make it as fair and useful as I could to show how Dabo stacks up to Saban, who most regard as the best college football coach of this era, at the same stage in his career.
Thanks for the stats, like we all felt confirmed in the #'s

Dabo is much greater than Saban and deserves so much more credit because of his humility and mission to build into his players lives the importance to finish what you start and complete it with a degree, ring or a total sense of accomplishment!
His record speaks for how we felt about him and the consistency he has brought to Clemson.
