$17,000,000

That's the Orange Bowl payout.

The Chick-fila Bowl payout is $4,000,000.

You can see the importance of beating GT and SCAR.

Get it done Tigers !

Truth spoken here but its a shame its always about the $$$

The $$ goes to the ACC & is then split equally...

amongst all conference members. This is after team expenses of course.
The exposure and merchandise sales and other revenue streams tied to a BCS game may be more significant than the payout.

Having two BCS teams from the ACC adds $17 million to the total revenue. So subtract the lowest payout bowl from the $17 million and you'd come up with about $1 million each per team being earned by Clemson making it to a BCS game.

Additionally, the expense for the Orange is $600k more.

Making it to the Orange bowl would yield $1.6 million in direct benefits. Although $1.6 is great, indirect benefits are really where it's significant like you said.

But in my mind, the indirect benefits are diminished after

you let the other team score 70 points & you lose by 37 points.

With that response I wonder how the he'll your pulse is that high. You are one of those dh that will not let some stuff that happened a while ago go. My brother is a #### fan and does not bring that crap up any longer. Let it go. You will have a much happier life. LSU and Ga say hi!

stating what happens as a RESULT of losing like that. I'm a realist.
I've heard mention of that Orange Bowl debacle on the radio, in the news, & on ESPN numerous times THIS year. It's not me willing to forget, check with the media & you still hear the silly term "Clemsoning" being tossed about. I remember that Orange Bowl game along with about 200 other Clemson games I've attended in person since ~ 1978. You boys don't know where you're going if you don't know where you've been.
And by the way, what the heck is the pulse he's talking about?
