Underdog to UNC?

First of all, the holes haven't even qualified yet for the ACCCG. However, to listen to the talking heads on Espin today, you would think that not only are they already in the game but based on what they were saying, it sounds like they like their chances to win it - A LOT!
Why all this love for the baby-blues? Just more dis-respect for Dabo and the guys. This needs to add more fuel to the teams fire.

Who likes their chances to win it? I haven't heard anyone

say that.
I'd think we'd be 5 or 6 point favorites.

They're saying they liked UNC's chances to make the playoff

IF they finish 12-1, having beaten No. 1 Clemson. Then they briefly expressed skepticism to that happening.

This is the way I interpreted it too. Strictly that if they beat us and have the one loss at the end of the season they have a resume for the playoff. I actually look at this as a good thing. Having a one loss team in that game with us brings more respect than a 2 or 3 loss team, especially if they end up in the top 10. Maybe not, but there are several undefeated teams going up against legitimate competition in the next couple of weeks. And, if they want to make us an underdog, even better. I think that our defense might accidentally rips some heads off. I like the hunger we've had in that role earlier in the season.

We won't be an underdog...

Let's not mistake another team getting a little love with "disrespect" for Clemson. Saying that another team could beat us isn't exactly disrespecting us, and in fact, just playing teams that nobody thinks can beat us would lend credence to the idea that our schedule is soft (which it isn't).

they are in if they win this weekend. they have a solid team but they haven't played dominant defenses nor have played a team with a pulse on offense. So has Chizik really turned their defense around or have they just not played any good offenses? I think NCSU will give them a run for their money.

It's way to early to speculate on this kind of stuff.

There's so many things that can happen in the next two weeks. UNC could lose to VA Tech and their QB could die in a house fire. Dabo Sweeney could grow bat wings and become a super villain and quit the football team. Watson could break both of his ankles hang gluiding. You. Just. Never. Know.
I did a mock CFP committee with 60 other talking idiots out in Texas this past summer (don't know if you knew that), but it really shed some light on how you look at things. I think casual fans really need to become better students of the games and really need to educate themselves on how these things work these days. First place to start is forming a mock committee in Texas over the course of 2 days last July.
YOU JUST NEVER KNOW

One week at a time. Let's get past WF and USC and THEN worry about whether or not we are underdogs to UNC.
Look what happened last weekend? Everyone, even the Syracuse fans thought the game would be an easy win for us. We won and can now move on, but lets learn not to take ANY team for granted and take one week at a time.

Some of you guys need to stop picking apart every little thing some talking head on says on TV and interpreting it to mean something negative about Clemson. Geez. It's getting old.
