New rule,if one is injured on the field, then he must stay

Sep 2, 2013, 11:53 PM

out 5 plays....if someone is "REALLY" injured, then they prolly should stay out and not come right back in the next snap just 20 seconds away.

So you punish kids for getting hurt?

Sep 2, 2013, 11:56 PM

I'm not sure you're thinking that one through. Talk about giving an incentive to hurt someone.

shouldn't be on the field the next play. There are already rules in place on illegal hits (although Kyle Parker believes they were a year too late.)

yeah that is my feeling. if you are that badly hurt seems it would be a player safety thing

"Son, are you hurt or are you injured? If you're injured you'd better go sit down. If you're hurt you'd better get your ### back out there."

I thought that was "The Program"***

yea, let's hope no one ever thinks of that... hurting someone to get them out of the game. That would ruin the game if it was a possibility.

Big difference between now and this scenario

Sep 3, 2013, 12:21 AM

Under the current rules you would have to seriously hurt someone to knock them out of the game.

Under this proposal you could just step on a guys heel and not do any serious damage but enough to sideline him.

It is for the fakers not the ones who are truly injured.

If you want to BS about it, here's one...

Why is Clemson's finesse offense sidelining SEC defenses?

This is between Clemson and Georgia. You will get your turn to fake in November.

Incentive to hurt someone? Do not most Ds already have that

Sep 3, 2013, 1:53 AM [ in reply to So you punish kids for getting hurt? ]

mentality? How does that change anything? If a D fragrantly injures someone does that also not risk them permanently being ejected from the game? It would be more dumb for the D to do such a thing.

If anything, it may encourage the injured to play through an injury when really they should be sidelined and examined.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No. The rule should be the player can't return until
