TBH I thought he would have been older than 85. Remember him from that show "Our House" on NBC way back in the 80's with Shannen Doherty. Played a very mature character back then. RIP.

I think of Cocoon, the Diabeetuss, and Quaker Oats

The guy was a prolific and respected actor with wide range. And if course a successful pitch man.
Lots of mashups on YouTube with the diabeetuss and/or Quaker.
Came across this years ago and is my favorite.

Two of my favorite movie quotes are from Wilford

Both from Absence of Malice.
“You ain't no Presidential appointee, Elliott. One that hired you is me. You got thirty days.”
“You had a leak? You call what's goin' on around here a leak? Boy, the last time there was a leak like this, Noah built hisself a boat.”

Wilford Brimley looked 85 twenty years ago and I thought that he had surely already passed away by now. Oops...anyway, I always enjoyed his acting - RIP Mr. Brimley...

already playing grandfatherly roles. I'm reminded of Irene Ryan who played Granny Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies, which ran 1962-71. She was only 60 when the show started, and Granny appeared to be at least 80 years old...
