1)The no pass interference call against S.Car was in a word, brutal. It was about as blatant a case of pass interference as you'll ever see, i.e., pulling down one of the guy's arms when he's about to make the catch. Don't know if Vandy goes onto win that game or not. I do know that they would have had the ball inside s.car territory with about 1:40 left and three timeouts. And it would have been four down territory. It was simply a horrific and critical blown call.

2)As far as people projecting the coots' success for the rest of the season based off of last night, I wouldn't read too much into one game. I would have thought that many on here have watched enough football in their lives to know better than to do that. Example, many on here last year we're saying we were going to shred their secondary last season when they were struggling against the pass. I don't need to say anymore about that.

season, too. Wofford and Tulane to be exact. It's true, you can't project the whole season based on the opener. They sure did look awful, though. The only really bright spot for them last night was their defensive front--although they did get gassed near the end of the half.
