Remember how these used to be the champion causes of "conservatives"? Simply matters of convenience now over principle that no Republican can lay claim on going forward.

Heck, just last week I was arguing against $2,000 stimulus checks. Maybe other folks like me can help the GOP discover its soul again in the coming years. Still won't make them any better or worse than Democrats though. People over parties.

Okay, if I'm either with you or against you, I'm assuredly against you.
I guess if that makes me a "Democrat" in your tiny addled brain that compulsively picks a fight with virtually every human being who crosses your path, you can consider me a Democrat if it makes you happy...though I'm not. I was eyeballing Ben Sasse just the other day, and really hoping that the GOP comes back to presidential candidates like him so I can vote for them again. Because of all the politicians who gave speeches a couple nights back, he was the one who seemed to actually get it.
You're a d!ck. RA that, if you would.

So what?
They run to Parler and froth at the mouth. Nobody's stopping them.
Twitter is a private company and they can leave up or ban whatever they want, as long as they're willing to lose the users. They aren't required to sit there and passively sit on their hands while people use their platform to spread lies and agitate for another insurrection.
Parler wants to do it, that's their lookout, but they're also going to be on the hook legally if something really nasty gets planned and organized on their platform, too. Which is kind of the risk you run if you provide services to barbarian heathens on the warpath, which is pretty much what a lot of these militant far-right groups essentially are. Which has always been the real problem, all the way back to reddit and then 4chan and then 8chan and now 8kun...the heathens all lather themselves into a fine tizzy, metastasize like cancers, start planning some really vicious and highly illegal stuff...and the legal departments of these platforms blanch and start going: "Whoa."
Whereupon the self-preservation crackdown begins, and the barbarian horde moves on to the next platform until it happens all over again.
As it happens, barbarian hordes are maybe not the safest customers, if you're a social-media platform that relies upon, well, society to continue functioning.

I get that. I don’t know why any Republicans even have accounts still on Twitter or Facebook. If they all simultaneously quit, their ad revenue would plummet. Not only would those people be gone, but the Dems would get tired of being snarky and edgy all by themselves.

Well since Trump had over 90% approval, you might be surprised. This is the part that you people STILL DO NOT GET.
Dems do not have a monopoly on “the truth.”
74 million people voted for Trump. Second most ever. Many of them are still extremely unhappy. That was witnessed Wednesday.
Now...you can either acknowledge those FACTS and try to see where people can agree, or you can continue to fan the flames with actions like this.
I said all along that this could have all been avoided if Dems hadn’t fought so hard against just transparency. Lack of transparency only breeds suspicion.

While I appreciate your trolling, George W Bush hit 99 after 9/11, got as low as 60, and left office at 75.
Trump came in at 89, got as high as 95, dropped to 77, and was at 87 last month.
Obama had similar numbers to Trump among Dems. He dropped to 72 in 2011.

Bush's fell after the economic collapse but was similar to Trump's until then. Trump also had some numbers in the 70s.
So, again, Trump isn't a special case in terms of in-party popularity.

I have conservative friends who still use those platforms. You know why? Because those platforms don't ban conservative speech.
What they ban is racist, hateful, attacking, acting like a complete traitorous #### wad, let's-start-a-civil-war speech.
That's NOT conservative. That's being a dangerous idiot.
So when we start labeling speech correctly and those of you who pretend to be conservative stop championing hateful, bigoted idiots as "conservatives", then we'll realize
You can hop on Facebook right now and preach laissez faire economics, small government, right to own a firearm, support for a Republican candidate, cutting regulations, etc.
But start preaching civil war and white supremacy? Bye. That's not conservative.

Big Tech media and the leftists in government are ONE and INSEPARABLE, and that relationship makes your statement absolutely false.
Big Tech and the mainstream media are the propaganda wing of the Commiecrat party. Don't try to pull that "private company" bull$hit...

Oh, I actually do fear Twitter and Facebook...but not for the reasons you do. You see a conspiracy because you're obviously a QAnon conspiracist...which is itself the kind of self-sustaining rabbit hole the modern Internet can build.
The truth is actually worse. I don't see a conspiracy because a conspiracy implies someone's in charge of it. There isn't. I actually see a Doomsday machine, a runaway feedback loop that nobody actually controls and in fact has no obvious controls...and probably needs to be turned off altogether. At the very least its user-match algorithms need to be disabled, because a learning computer that tunes itself to the emotional biases of each individual user and feeds them back what it learns they want to see and believe is the most dangerous thing I can imagine and we're just seeing the front wave of what we've actually built there with that beast.

Facebook and Google, Amazon also. These checks on monopolies have worked well in the past with steel, oil, telecoms, and other. Not a history buff in that realm but too big is too big. Capitalism and free enterprise are the bomb but there has to be a check on greed and size/monopoly at some point due to stifling ingenuity. The founders of all these firms have done great and yay for them, but at the point where these corporations become destructive to the competitive process and destabilize the overall mechanism, it's time to step in.

I posted this video two times months ago. I’m very familiar with what’s going on in China. I don’t want to see that here. We’re already seeing censorship and cancel culture. That isn’t the US.

If T3Tiger thinks Twitter is acting like the Chinese communist party, he is wrong.
Trump, Powell and Flynn are acting like Chinese dictator wanna be socialists. They are deep state actors. They have been working against the people. They tried to steal an election from tens of millions of US citizens.

You're really upset they banned Trump after he tried to encourage an insurrection. Unreal.

I disagree with your premise that he encouraged the Capitol part. However I’m not really concerned about his Twitter...even though they still have dictators and white supremacists on there. I’m much more concerned about the Parler thing on many levels.

Not everybody on Parler is like that. Many conservative media people have moved to that platform...and it is a platform...like Twitter and FB are supposed to be.
Banning Parler is like saying criminals used telephones so we’re banning telephones now. Also, as far as I know, LEO’s can access Parler just like everyone else and see stuff. Just like I saw BLM and Antifa posting stuff on Twitter.
It’s pretty obvious that the oligopoly is trying to eliminate one of the first real competitors they’ve had. That’s just wrong. Everyone should agree on that.

Not true...again. Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and others and their followers have all moved there.
Levin actually said he got way more followers there instantly because no shadow banning.

1. So you still are replying to me.
2. The Parler thing? These militia ### clowns were plotting this attack, asking people to bring weapons, posting police and military bands to monitor, and were posting assault/attack strategies on the streets. They were planning out a battle.
Do you want the screenshots?

I’m happy to discuss things with you without all the other stuff.
As I said before, Parler is a platform as they were all intended to be. All the other users and that company shouldn’t be punished because of the actions of a few. Far more crime has been committed on WhatsApp, Facebook and Google than Parler ever thought about. This is purely a politically and business motivated attack on Parler.

Parler has predictably turned into white supremacist, let's-go-overthrow-the-government-and-here's-how-to-do-it.
There's nothing conservative about it.

The hilarious part of this whole "CCP" thing, of course,

is that the Trumpers are the ones looking to have the government crack down on Twitter and other private businesses, and thinks it's the government's place to decide whether private companies are being "fair."
This is how lost Trumpers are. They don't belong in the Republican Party.

The ACLU is against the censorship too. You know, those Trumpies?
I could live with the censorship if these companies didn’t use their size and power to block alternatives like Parler.
Thanks for the concern about the well-being of the Republican Party though.

Most relevant paragraph to today:
“The conservative case for competition is also political. Broken markets create broken politics. Economic and political power is becoming concentrated in the hands of distant monopolists. The stronger companies become, the greater their stranglehold on regulators and legislators becomes via the political process. This is not the essence of capitalism.”

so you hate monopolies now

in the 1980s, the Reagan Administration drastically altered American antitrust policy, virtually eliminating Section 2 cases involving monopolies. This chapter provides a context for that decision by tracing the efforts that the federal government made since 1890 to reconcile an opposition to highly concentrated economic power with the even stronger enthusiasm Americans have always had for the economic success they associated with the nation's largest enterprises. In this setting, judges and government lawyers struggled over the years to come up with a clear concept of monopoly. In the global economy of the late 20th century, the Reagan policy innovation solved that problem and proved to be timely and significant. The new policy allowed American firms to get up to global scale, either through strategic alliances or through mergers that would not have been allowed under previous administrations.

That was the third paragraph
“It was a sharp departure from the speeches of recent Republican presidential candidates such as Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush. Some commentators fretted that Trump was abandoning conservative tradition. Trump was in fact returning to the American and Republican traditions of opposing monopolies and industrial concentration.”

if you are a Student of Reagan's policies, then you should not have a hard time understanding how we got here, polarized media, banks too big to fail, small business unable to compete, massive deficits, and an increasing wealth gap. There is a reason all of these people are so upset that they would be foolish enough to risk their freedom, they are at the end of their ropes. The problem is that they are pointing their fingers at their fellow Americans because they are being lied to. the blame should be directed at 50 years of bad policy that threw the working class under the bus, policies that politicians from both parties voted yay on.
