Tua’s last name

Why do some people pronounce it “Tung-a-vie-loh-ah”

I look at the actually spelling Tagovailoa, and it just doesn’t make sense.

Please help

I guess that’s the correct pronounciation

There is an ACC ref who wears glasses who always says Clemzon. Annoying everytime

It IS a Hawaiian thing - - but Tua himself has posted many explanations on the pronunciation.

It's - TUNGA - VIE - LOH - UH. Stupid announcers just blindly copy each other and ALL get it wrong, saying - "TUNGA - VIE - UH - LOH - UH. There's no extra "UH" after the "VIE." Just TUNGA - VIE - LOH - UH.

As far as the "TUNGA" part (and why there's an "NG" sound in there) - like I said - it's just a Hawaiian thing.
