Why is Trump even hiding that he intervened?

Isn't he allowed to do so? Even if it's questionable, wouldn't he just do it for all to see, and flip a few birds as he walks out?

That's the sad part about it. The GOP and his supporters are more and more advocating this man having unchecked power, and they don't seem to grasp the dangerous road they're putting us on.
I read one great explanation for Trump supporters which kind of sums up why people over history embrace dictators. They've been scared and mad because they think somehow they haven't had a voice, and now they think Trump represents that voice, so they'll support him at all costs.
That's how dictators are born.

There basically seem to be three kinds of Trump supporters, and all three are represented on this board. One of them - probably the majority - are just scared and misinformed. Most of 'em are probably pretty decent folks in real life; I've met plenty of Trump supporters out in the world who are, frankly, salt-of-the-Earth good people, whose politics in no way match their actual personalities. They're being told America is crumbling from within, assailed by liberal atheistic Deep Staters who are out to turn their children gay and choke off freedom of speech and religion in America, and open the floodgates to hordes of illegal immigrants who will take their jobs and bring crime, poverty, and disease with them. A lot of these folks are religious, and they perceive - correctly, in some regards - that their faith and their belief in traditional family stuctures are under attack. And because their inputs have been taken over by this poison, it's what they believe.
Those are the folks the Democrats - allegedly the party of the working-class and common man - has to do a much better job of reaching.
Then there's the haters...and the corrupt. Those groups seem self-explanatory.

Has declared he wanted Stone's punishment reduced, and now the DOJ inexplicably did it, causing four prosecutors to resign, and we're going to be believe Trump didn't do this?
He's out of control, Alex, and I think the biggest mistake the Dems made with impeachment is that they have now convinced this little fascist that he truly can do anything he wants.

You're looking down the wrong end of a gun barrel as usual. It's the left that thinks they can make examples of anyone who disagrees with their ideology and is getting away with it. Trump is saving one of their victims. People like you have emboldened them.

The four prosecutors who quit in protest would seem to feel it was way out of line.
That's a glaring red flag, and it sends a horrifying message to the DOJ - that politics is more important than the law.
That is a bad, bad road to get on, but the Trumpies, as ever, don't remotely care.

You mean, other than Trump tweeting about it right about the same time the DOJ abruptly swerved on itself and hacked its own prosecutors off at the knees?
Why no. None whatsoever.

Sorry my friend, but he's congratulating the Attorney General for stepping in personally to help one of his oldest friends. There is no dispute here. Read his own words. Of the hundreds prosecuted from that office, this is the one he disputes? A mere coincidence? At 6:53 AM? How would he know that Barr was involved unless he'd spoken to him?

Unfortunately that's exactly what happened. He's personally involved himself and has gotten the Attorney General involved to help a cronie. The Justice Department should be independent of political influence or interference. The rule of law is critical to our country. Critical.

That guys like Stone were associated with Trump tells you that Trump wasn't exactly able to attract the best and brightest to his cause. But, unfortunately, I think people will jump up to defend Stone just because he's associated with Trump, and everything associated with Trump has to be defended.

Stone has always been willing to do the dirty work for Trump...or whoever was paying at the time. Stone is a disciple of Roy Cohn...who was a disciple of Joseph McCarthy...yeah, that McCarthy. These are the people Trump surrounds himself with...and still people pull for the guy.

Sentence should be about a month.
Did you miss the fact that Roger Stone threatened to have a witness in his trial killed.
Oh, because he was supporting TheRump that was fine. My bad.
Roger Stone also tweeted a pic of the judge in his trial with a gun sight (crosshair) across her face while he was out on bail. Of corse Stone was suggesting that someone should kill the judge. That, by itself, should have called for a l I fe sentence for Stone.
You must be a Russian troll!!!

The fact that he misspoke and said 'addict,' rather than 'pusher,' doesn't dismiss the fact that 9 years is far from a proper sentence for the charges.
I thought dems were all about justice reforms.
