Trip to Auburn

Jul 20, 2016, 9:13 AM

I am considering making the trip down to Auburn.

Anyone been there for a game? How's the overall experience?

Went in 2010. It was a great experience.

except for the outcome of the game. Tailgating lots are first come first serve. Not sure if that has changed.

There's something in these hills.

Not to say the people of Alabama are backwards or anything, but once you're there you can see why dumb people thought the Earth was flat...

Getting a tailgating spot is a PIA there. It's first come first serve but can be roped off the day before. So basically all the fraternities rope off their alumni spots on Friday even before the official time. For a 910PM kickoff you will still have to show up at 6AM to get anywhere even remotely decent.

Have two children that went to school there and have been to many games. I could not recruit them to dear old CU - I tried! It will be hot. It is a lot like Clemson and the folks are very hospitable and pleasant. It is worth the trip. Like Clemson, hotel rooms are long gone so plan accordingly.

One of my favorite away games.

And considering they aren't scheduled again, you should go ahead and go now.
