No one will respond to this.. But preseason

1. I said KB couldn't improve his passing to keep his job... Proven.
2. I said TL would surpass KB because of that... Again proven.
3. I said BC would be the biggest test we face in the regular season... Knowing what I paid attention to of the trench STATS... Yeah you all hated me for the stats...PROVEN.

For those that ignored me.... Sucks for you. For the rest of you, I quit being quiet. I start showing the stats again...GO TIGERS. And Gee Ville (pronounced Guh-ee vull at his level of smartness) dumbass...armsbryant...suck my .....tail. who was right? Go Tigers!! See you all in my hometown.. Charlotte.

I was critical of Kelly B LAST season. I didn't think he was the best QB on the roster then. I thought we needed to work harder to get HJ ready to play. If you want to go back and look at my post history you can confirm that.

For you to act like you were the only person here he considered Trevor Lawrence the superior QB is silly. If you can't handle people disagreeing with you, then perhaps this forum isn't for you. I don't give a carp if people agree with me or not, or if they "TD" me or not. Who cares? I've been on this site since 1995. I was here LONG before all that started and I've gotten into plenty of disagreements with people on various topics. It's part of substantive discussion - people disagree sometimes. Get over it.

I will reply. We out gained BC 424 to 113. Syracuse was a ch bigger test.

Re: No one will respond to this.. But preseason

Not defensively. They were the team that would put young Trevor in check that I expected would have the job, and check my history, by game 5.eat crow if you guys really want me to analyze the stats which I've done against several teams that invade our boards do yourself a favor and stop treating me like I don't know what I'm talkin about

Absolute bull, would you like me to actually start pulling the crap up Neal? You watched it just like I did... It'll be interested to see where you stood. keep in mind, I had to actually post pictures of my ring during that fight. And I called out the two I'd rather hear from

Yeah that’s certainly not true

A majority were all aboard the KB train and to think otherwise was to be disloyal to the team.

How did BC put Trevor in check? He threw for 295 yards, had a passing TD, and a rushing TD. If not for a poor throw to Rodgers he would have had 2 passing TDs and nearly 350 yards. BC had a few redzone stands, but our total offensive stats between Syracuse and BC are pretty similar, but Syracuse put up a much better offensive challenge. Also TL averaged 6.2 YPA against Syracuse with a 25.9 QBR and 7.4 YPA with a 69.4 QB rating against BC.

Syracuse gave up 469 total yards and BC gave up 424 total yards. So I guess BC is 45 yards better than Syracuse. Congrats on calling that out, you nailed it.

BC was a closer game than A&M and Syracuse? You also want credit for predicting that Lawrence would eventually become the starter when like 90% of people thought that?

I mean in the games at the guy who left the team had anything to do with. how about you start from the games that Trevor took him over .. Which I suspect would be by game 5... It was actually game 4

How did BC hold us in check? I can't even understand half of what you are rambling about. They made a few redzone stands, but we had over 100 yards rushing and almost 300 yards passing. If not for a poor pass to Rogers, TL would have had another TD and 50 yards of passing yards.

Syracuse...3 TD's scored
Texas A&M...4 TD's scored
BC...2 TD's scored (rest by FG's and a punt return TD, Amari's first of the whole season).

That's how I am looking at it. Looks to me like we were able to score better against what you are considering the 1st and 2nd best. You are looking at it by what the defense did or didn't do in each, I am looking at it by what the offense did (or didn't do). Offensively (taking away special teams scores), Clemson's worst game was BC between the 3.

Wait a minute....

Posted: Nov 14, 2018 11:42 AM

Are you seriously trying to argue that a game we won by 20 points while not giving up a single TD on defense was a bigger test than:

- A game where we had to hold on for dear life at the end by stopping a potential game tying extra point in front of 100,000 rowdy fans

And

- A game where we had to fight back from behind in the 4th quarter with our 3rd string QB

???

And your main argument is centered on the fact that we scored less touchdowns....not the actual score difference?

Lol, wow. Ok

Tiger fan. However, on this board, where collective groupthink and PC hand wringing occurs daily, any voice who was not all in with KB playing was questioned. So be it. Laugh at it. Nothing to win in being hard. The beauty is not in just being right (which you were on this issue) but in having the independence to speak your mind and go against all those that told the emperor he had grand clothes.

On point 3, you were wrong, SYR and Tx A&M played us much tougher than BC who was one ref's call and several overshot TL passes away from losing by 40 points. But that's OK. You were right on 1 & 2.

So anyway, who loves some Tigers? We all do. +1 and chill brother …

TM 1978,

Nobody disagreed with your stats. Among those who replied originally I believe what led to the negative responses was your obvious attitude. Try a little less “pay attention to me” and just make reasonable comments and you might find a better response among posters.

Go Tigers ??!!

Re: No one will respond to this.. But preseason

Posted: Nov 12, 2018 3:39 PM

Back at that time, I was making rational posts...mainly just throwing out stats. Don't know why you guys went 5 pages worth back from 2 days ago to bring this back up though. I said what I wanted to....and if you guys think we "sailed" to a win offensively with 13 of 27 points being FG's or a special teams play, then that's on you. The offense (without ST) in reality scored more TD's on Syracuse (3 TD's) and Texas A&M (4 TD's) than it did on BC (2 TD's)...but obviously no one will admit that, so I stopped bothering posting about it. Defensively the game was different, but BC did present the toughest defense faced all season.

Re: No one will respond to this.. But preseason

Posted: Nov 14, 2018 11:54 AM

So you’ve gone from “BC would be the biggest test we face in the regular season” to “I meant defensively” to the only stat that matters is offensive TDs allowed. Syracuse’s pass defense was better than BC and BCs rush defense was better than Syracuse.

I love irony. You did this to get positive attention.

Re: Mad bro?

lol...Nah, just showing some that acted like stats don't help tell a story (like it did in the eventual demise of KB as the starter), that again, it did.

Only 2 offensive TD's vs the highest defensive efficiency team we have played all season (BC #20 in Defensive Eff), vs 3 TD's with a back up vs Syracuse (#21 Def Eff), vs 4 TD's vs Texas A&M (#39 Def Eff). The stats seemed to keep showing the offense would struggle more against BC than it did vs Syracuse and Texas A&M...and it did, whether or not some on here want to admit it.

You do know that 98.9% of Tigernet said the exact same thing you’re tooting your own horn about right after the spring game right?

Re: No one will respond to this.. But preseason

Posted: Nov 12, 2018 4:16 PM

That's incorrect. 98% of Tigernet said "trust the coaches choice...if they picked KB, then KB is the better QB" "He was 12-2 as a starter and brought us to the playoffs, don't question the coaches"...and called the select few that spoke to his inefficiencies "coots", haters, and dumb armchair coaches. And if you talked stats in any way, you were told stats don't matter.

Re: No one will respond to this.. But preseason

I, and others, were pushing even last year to play HJ more. This year I was strongly in favor of TL taking over early, but I was happy the way the coaches gradually moved TL into the starting role. He shared time early. KB leaving was a surprise, but it appears to be for the best.

I will take up for the OP in that it gets old when we suggest changes and are accused of being disloyal, etc. This is a dang sports message board after all. The same with every time someone looks past the current game, he-she is met with derision of looking past the next game. Sure coaches have to stay grounded to the current week in some respects, but we all can speculate on season.

Maybe you got blasted by the 2 or 3 people on this board

Posted: Nov 12, 2018 4:43 PM

that didn't know TL was going to take over at QB at some point in the season. Anyone who watched the Spring Game knew that.
But I don't know how you are so certain that BC was our biggest test. I think A&M and Syracuse were closer games.
