I wouldn't expect Clemson to go into stomp mode on this team, normally, but they have something to prove this week. Their coach does seem to use a "please be gentle" undertone.

this will be treated like a scrimmage to work on our fundamentals. Dabo expects his team to get it right. That means physicality and imposing your will on the opponent. SCSU is in for a long day.

Many years ago, Clemson played Alabama the week after Alabama lost. Frank Howard told the story that Bear approached him before the CU/UA game and said to Frank, "I'm sorry it's you."


The score didn't reflect any sympathy.
