Re: In the river

a customer of mine's brother owns a place like that in GA. I hope to be able to catch some of those monsters one of these days.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nice. Did you keep any to eat?

Nov 1, 2018, 2:20 PM

Also, is this just one fish that you turned several different ways for pictures???

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We caught 27 total. Big one was 22 inches

Nov 1, 2018, 2:23 PM

Next biggest fish were 21 and 20.5.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow, that’s some incredible rainbow fishery.

Nov 1, 2018, 2:28 PM

And obviously they are able to hold over through the year, that’s the problem w a lot of the SC streams is the stocked Bows don’t hold over. I fish the Enoree river and it’s great but just for little fish right after DNR stocks them in the late spring/ early summer

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And we kept 7

Nov 1, 2018, 2:28 PM [ in reply to Nice. Did you keep any to eat? ]

Be careful with the skin,

Nov 1, 2018, 2:21 PM

You need to call the maître d' over and send that back.

The chef didn't even cook it or plate it properly.

Dayum. Those are beauties. Man, I've only been trout

Nov 1, 2018, 2:54 PM

fishing a couple times in my life, but certainly never caught anything like that. Even then, we were kinda cheating... go downstream from the Walhalla Fish Hatchery and catch a few escapees. LOL

A drunk will run a STOP sign, but a stoner will wait for it to turn green.

Last time I went was up around Jocassee a few years ago

Nov 1, 2018, 3:03 PM

I didn't listen to my buddy and ate my entire brownie. Spent the whole day trying to hide from other fishermen for no real good reason. Had to sit in the parking lot for awhile before I felt comfortable enough to drive home.
