No need to risk injury against Furman. Trevor Lawrence Chase Brice deserves the in game experience. Really we shouldn’t have any of the first team play after the 1st qtr

if we don't score points the first 3 series - there won't be a QB issue anymore.

I understand your point but it is the first game of the year and quite a while since KB has been in the heat of battle. He and the first team offense need to get into a bit of a rhythm before next week's game with A&M. If we get off to a fast start I think he will play about 4 series in the 1H and get to enjoy watching his teammates clean up the rest of the way. If we struggle a bit he could wind up playing most of the 1H and maybe even the opening series of Q3 and be done after that. TL will see some first half action as well as he also needs to get his feet wet and be ready for a tougher A&M squad.
As always, actual game situations will dictate personnel and the amount of play time they receive.

TL will get an early series with the first team offense as part of the game plan.
This is just what I think will happen.

This isn't the NFL preseason. KB needs to get better as well and show what he can do, maybe not so much with points, as I think that will not be a problem. But to show the coaches, who know what they are look for . . that he has imp;roved in game situations. TL will get a lot of time I believe and Brice as well.
