After working in Canada during the winter and being outside all day, it would be hard for me to go with another coat for rugged warmth.
However, I may look into some of the Duluth stuff for not cold AF weather based on your rec. I do have a Carhartt shirt-jac that I really like, as well. Great for grilling for me if 20 degrees and above.
