The recruiting class they signed in the offseason was pretty incredible and they shouldn't have taken anyone by surprise. I remember watching videos of Julio Jones from Bama's fall practices and thinking "oh crap, he's gonna be really good." If our coaches got caught that far off guard, I imagine our players were well under-prepared, and it showed.

pumped up to start but we fumbled on the first play and it was down hill after that. CJ Spiller bounced outside for a long run td or the score would have been even worse.

We didn't have any offensive TDs. I know this, because that game and last year's GT game are the only 2 games I've been to in Atlanta. Didn't score an offensive TD either time, so I refuse to go back.

about how he ran his program. It was ten years of promises and excuses. High hopes with good players but never a fully developed program. The fact that we didn't know what to expect is discouraging. Technology and the internet have developed a lot since 2008, but that shouldn't be an excuse.
I'm glad we are in a different place now. A program that recruits and develops quality depth. A program that has the capability to properly scout teams and prepare for them.

happened to Clemson. It was very clear that we had a long way to go at that point from both a talent and depth perspective.
I bet if you looked at CDS's notebook following that game, it was circled and highlighted that we had to build both lines 2-3 deep and change our general philosophy, which has been a long process, but we clearly have done.
Glad to have another crack at them. That was the most obnoxious fan base I've ever encountered, even before the game started.
