Tommy & Tommy

I am thankful for those awful terrible days of Tommy and Tommy because it makes me appreciate what we have as Tiger fans now. My first Tiger game as a student was against NC State and if memory serves it was Tommy West's first regular season game. We were favored - we got blasted on our own stadium.I remember students yelling "We want Hatfield"! I was there for a rainy cold loss to Virginia at home which was a first also I believe. Then to top it all off I got a Xmas present from my brother (a coot) to the Gator Bowl in '95 where the whole world was introduced to a dude named Donovan McNabb and we got killed 41 to zip.
I look back on those days and even just a few years ago when we actually started winning the BIG games such as LSU, Ohio State, etc. and know that it is a GREAT time to be a Tiger fan and I love every minute of it. The coot fans are crumbling and waiting for women's BBall so the work place is again pleasant and my brother's family is now quiet!
Now we are complaining because we win but we don't win pretty enough or we turn the ball over too much. I agree we can play better and need to going forward, but it sure beats losing and I feel confident Dabo will have us rolling when it counts.
Go Tigers!!

by my calculations, we were only 374 plays away from a national championship in 1995.

That is about how many plays McNabb ran on us in the Gator Bowl!! In the dang rain and sitting around their very vocal fans!
