Tomatoes, Tomatoes, Tomatoes

Sep 24, 2020, 7:05 PM

Made another trip to Osage Farms near Dillard, GA a couple of days ago and came back with only 100 pounds of beautiful large tomatoes. I give most of them to friends here at Clemson Downs. I love a "mater sammich" and "mater" pie so some of them are consumed in that manner. I'll stew some and freeze for soup during the winter and will stew some with okra for soup and just plain eating.

The tomato vines are still loaded and they will have tomatoes until a frost or freeze. May make another trip to Dillard if the frost or freeze holds off until late October

Dillard House Bacon is awesome.
Smelling that when you walk in the restaurant for breakfast is heavenly.

Sorry, you mentioned Dillard and I went off a little bit. Wistfully.

be sure to stop by the Dillard House for breakfast or dinner.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants.

Everything is served family style so bring your appetite and wear your stretchy pants.
