Alexander: Clemson doesn't "recruit boys. We’re going to recruit men.”

Mackensie Alexander had a captive and captivated audience Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, and he didn’t disappoint as he told the gathered media that Clemson doesn't recruit boys into the program. Photo by Trevor Ruszkowski / USATODAY Full Story »

Hope this guy goes to a team that has some other pieces on defense.

Would be a shame to get picked by a loser team.

Alexander was great for our program while he was with us, and he is now proving to be after he's has left. You have to wish only the best for young men like Mackensie Alexander....

I hope he goes to the Redskins with Breeland...

Those two on the field, locking down the WRs for Washington would be great.

Mac gets it. He has an unlimited ceiling. With all the skill he has plus such a strong work ethic he will succeed in football as week as life.

NFL teams are gushing over his press conference

Keep Your Mystique In The NFL As Well Alexander ----

Do your thing on the field and leave the media in the dust. Talk only when you have something important to address. I say this because the media a lot of times will twist the things a person says and it gets turned into something else. Do your thing on the field because that way everybody will have seen your job was done to such a perfection that they all will appreciate it and be at awe. Words won't matter then.

I beg to differ with Mac...

I don't know if even Swinney can recruit

to replace this interview....

position? yes.

interview? not so sure.

kind of comes out like a "Boulware of the microphone"....

miss him already.

When Mac finished the microphone dropped itself.

Sure am going to miss seeing him on the field for Clemson

But i know that he will make an team he goes to better on D. The man is seriously a turnkey player, put him out there and he will lock down his side of the field, no need for "showing him the ropes of the NFL"

His 'looks you in the eye' and intensity...straight-forward approach...much like Mike Tomlin. Can see Mac as a head coach once his playing days are over.

At a minimum, ESPN, FOX, CBS, NBC, et al see a future talent behind the mic

Mac will have countless opportunities to do what he wants when his playing days are over - but if he decides to become a talking head -that's gonna be a lot of fun.

that needs NO introduction!

"Gamecocks aren’t ready to take college football by storm just yet. They’re not even ready to compete in their own state – Clemson will still own the territory. Gamecocks fans would be smart to keep their heads buried until that time. Avoid talking trash to a much better Clemson program.” -Dustin Tackett
