Tanner said the selection committee has to break up the pattern the third year.

Vandy has to go somewhere else in 2019.

win the HOME regional and we HOST a SUPER regional. Here's one - Tanner knew that Fla State couldn't get out of their own regional, so he paired Clemson with FSU, thus guaranteeing Clemson a super host, until... See, that's silly too.

Vandy was a 5th/6th place sec team (I'm not exactly sure and don't care enough to look it up). We should have felt pretty good about our chances. Just didn't get it done. Nobody to blame but our players and coaches. A top ACC team should beat a team from the middle of ANY conference 80% of the time when playing at home in double elimination format.

far less than stellar batting average but our pitching we depending on just kind of fell apart there at the end. We tried so hard to beat Vandy in the first game with them, for obvious reasons when only 12% of teams advance if they go in the losers bracket of the regional, we ran out of arms.
Henny's injury kept him from being able to last when we needed him to so with no pitching left in the final game with Vandy we were rocked 19-6.
