Facing a 4th and 10 from the Gamecock 29 yard line with just under 6:00 to go, and clinging to a 24-21 lead, first year Head Coach Tommy Bowden decided to go for the jugular. Bowden told his best 2 players to go make a play, and the gamble paid off. Clemson QB Woody Dantzler took a 3 step drop, & WR Rod Gardner bolted down the left sideline, beating defender Arturo Freeman for the score and Clemson was back in a bowl game for the first time in three seasons.
South Carolina, despite more than tripling its yearly average of 6 points per game, wound up winless in its first season under Lou Holtz, extended its national losing streak to 0-21, and became the first Southeastern Conference team to finish 0-11 without forfeits.

If we are talking about Tigers that made a play in a game, I would have to go with Woody against GT to win the game in 2001. Big time player making a big time play at the end of the game. Dude was a gamer. Sorry, don't know about how to link the play.
