Looks like being the fifth seed would mean someone thinks we are in the top twenty. 4 x 5 = 20.

true, but you know how odd these pairings usually are. apparently there is an issue with tennessee, as well: Ranked #5, you would think they would be in the same bracket with the lowest #1 seed (Kansas).

...but really, these rankings mean nothing now. Of course, it is nice that OP has led this team to a end-of-year top 25AP ranking, but the matter at hand is on the tourney.

I'm sure OP isn't thinking at all of ranking, but instead how to get past a tough 'Nova team, and then an even tougher Vandy (or Sienna) team.

Anyway, I'm proud of the Tigers' accomplishments this year! It's not over yet, but I'm already excited about next year!
