Tiger Woods at Masters

Apr 3, 2013, 11:45 AM

I predict Tiger will be the wire-to-wire champion at this year's Masters - he's back to his old form and will intimidate the other guys like he used to.

yes! and Rory will play out of the back yard again!! lol***

Just enjoy it, this is the last sporting event to look

Apr 3, 2013, 12:18 PM

forward to until Aug. 31. The US and British Opens are fine if you have the time, but you don't purposely block off time in your life for them. Our baseball team sucks too much for anything good there, but even then, baseball on its best day isn't all that much unless you're there with a 12 pack.

I like the U.S. Open more than the Masters

Apr 3, 2013, 12:35 PM

It's a tougher tournament, mainly because the course is always harder.

I thoroughly enjoy both and I like Pebble Beach as well***

I've got to admit that I'm a big fan of his - would like....

Apr 3, 2013, 1:12 PM

to see him win this year's Masters a a few more majors but don't want to see him break Jack's record.

I don't think there is any question....

Apr 3, 2013, 1:56 PM

that when Tiger is "on his game", he is simply the single best golfer in the world today (possibly ever) and few others, if any, have the game to match him.

That said, his frequent on-course profantiy laced tirades coupled with his off-the-course antics make him the epitome of a poor role model for the millions of kids who look up to him and aspire to be like him. It is for this reason that I can not and will not pull for him.

I agree - he shows too much class normally to .......

scores of other beloved and iconic figures would be nobodies or only marginally who they are seen to be today.

Other golfers do what Tiger does on the course, but don't have the exposure. But seriously, I heard worse stuff as a kid in the 70s every day at school and on the playground. And look at TV, music, and the internet today. Not that it condones anything, and he should tone it down, but it's frankly overblown.

As far as his private life, it was and should stay private. Far more important and worshiped people have done much worse and publicly. Everyone makes mistakes. As long as you aren't breaking the law and you keep things private it's none of the public's business.

I hope not. He's a jerk.***

Re: Tiger Woods at Masters

Tiger takes a lot of heat for his off the course activity and as a husband and father they are deplorable. As a golf fan though, I do pull for him and love to watch his game. He is the purest golfer to put on the spikes ever aside from Bobby Jones or Nicklaus. Speaking f Jack, you will not find a more arrogant son of a gun than him on course! As much as he was loved, Arnie was a renowned skirt chaser! So as for me, I'll try and be the role model for my kix and enjoy
Tiger as a golfer and nothing more!!
