Nov 19, 2009, 4:08 PM

The seats up there that are consistently empty game after game are not worth $10 ... nobody will ever pay full price for those seats unless Clemson starts to win 10-12 games per year again.

Those seats STINK!

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not to mention sticking it to the people who support the program thru IPTAY and season tickets... won't disagree that $48 is a lot to pay for a ticket but you don't change prices during a season... just sets a bad precedent

Re: yeah... a 2 for 1 deal would be a great precedent to set

I realize they can't change prices mid season, for the very reasons you stated, but they do need to consider coming down off the total cost of season tickets next season.

MTSU, CCU, Wake, TCU, and BC are all small schools, and TCU and BC are far away and don't even bring a band with them. Next year should be better since we play some better opponents at home. I'm tired of us scheduling the cupcakes like North Texas next year though.

The ticket office is just stupid. Put half of them on ebay and let the market sort it out.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not a great idea

Nov 20, 2009, 6:35 AM

If I was a season ticket holder, I'd be pissed if I tickets went on sale on ebay and I could have gotten them for half what i paid for them. I probably wouldn't buy the season tickets next year and save a whole lot of money.

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: not a great idea

Nov 21, 2009, 12:07 PM

I think it would be ok if it was a stated policy. Season ticket holders don't pay more money for tickets just so that their sure they'll have a seat. They do it to get better seats and a parking pass. Some might even do it just to support the school/team. I don't think most people would complain so long as they knew it would only be the nosebleeds that the ticket office couldn't unload.
