Because of the new bat regulations HRs dropped off significantly. This is the reason for moving home plate out.

will be built as part of the construction project that will begin at the end of the season. As I understand it, the idea is also to move the dugouts closer to the lines and build seats where they are. If the dugouts actually became dugouts and not ground levels then it would be easy to see over them. I think we're going to see major changes to Doug Kingsmore over the next several years. The field project is just the beginning. I expect we'll know more after the Board of Trustees meets in mid-October and can approve the plans.
