Thrift store treasure

Found this gem in a thrift store during the off season for $3.00. 1970s style crushed velvet for all of the orange sections.

I've tried to find its origin online, but cannot find anything. Has anyone seen something like this before or know when it was made? Any help would be appreciated!!!

These were big in the early to mid seventies. I'm no expert but that would be my guess. Best, CT

mid 70's. My brother and I would rub the velvet and it eventually started flaking off so my parents sold it at a yard sale around 1979.

So it isn't the only one. I think my dad bought it around 1965-66. Brings back memories.

Dadgummit - the wife finally made me get rid of that dang thing, and now it's back in circulation. I hope she doesn't find out 'cause I told her I trashed it. Now she'll know I gave it to the thrift store.
