Dabo Swinney’s love for the college game keeps NFL offers at bay

Successful college coaches have never been shy about trying to find similar results in the NFL. After all, the NFL is supposed to be the pinnacle of the sport of football. But not all coaches are meant to take their talents to the professional level, and Dabo Swinney believes that he is one of those coaches. Full Story »

Pete Carroll sucked in the NFL and was a flop, then turned USC completely around and then became a star in the NFL his second time around. You just never know.

The schools ahead of Clemson in APR are considered "real" academic schools (Air Force, Northwestern, and Duke), so being #4 is really impressive.

FSU was last in APR (129). USuCk was 68 (I'm sure Dabo cheated somehow).

So glad we have a good coach with values and integrity.

Three words: “I love recruiting” ... will keep Dabo on top.

Many, many head coaches in college despise the recruiting process and see the pro game as a way out.

I think he can do way more good being a college coach molding these younger people.

You can tell he is a fish IN water by the way he interacts with the players, families and fans. He is obviously where he should be.

I'd wager the NFL, on the whole,

Loves Dabo being a college coach. They know the attributes of the players he sends. The Raiders sure do!

Definitely agree with you about Dabo but had to chuckle over your comment about Spurrier having limited success with the Redskins..
He was a joke at best around the DC area for what he did when he was here. You do know there are only 4 teams in the NFC East right?
In his own words, 5 and 7, not too good!
