Those that were there, what would you say the fan split was?

Jan 11, 2017, 12:11 PM

Rece Davis said it was 50-50 Bama/Clemson but I also heard Pollock say :There's a LOT of Orange here."

Since the upper decks were not very visible and it is hard to distinguish some Orange from Red at distance, I'd like to know from those that attended.

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car."

"I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it."

I'd say at least 55-45, maybe as much as 60-40

There was NO crimson whatsoever in the Clemson half of the stadium, but there was a decent amount of orange sprinkled across the Bama section.

I would agree with this. There was more orange

Jan 11, 2017, 12:29 PM

But it was certainly not overwhelming. Outside was a completely different story- I would be willing to say there were 2 or 3 Clemson fans to Bama fans outside the stadium.

with Tiger fans tailgating and watching the game. There were 75-100 people at the tailgate we watched from. I'm guessing (WAG) that there were 10-20 thousand tiger fans outside the stadium? Would love to see an estimate.

except like Florida or something, we would have had at least 70%

60/40, easily. Last year I'd say 55/45.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Definitely more of us, but I say 55-45

Jan 11, 2017, 12:50 PM

60-40 would mean we had 45k to their 30. Don't think so.

I'd say 60/40 maybe 55/45 in favor of Clemson***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I agree with 60/40 inside the stadium. Outside before the game it was solid orange. I thought we were going to have 75%-80% judging from the tailgate. The Bama fans kept a low profile before the game. I think they just showed at 8:00pm for the game.

On another note, the Clemson crowd seemed to have the air sucked out of them in the first half. But during the 4th quarter, the Death Valley crowd showed up, erupted, and rocked the house! It was the greatest Tiger celebration I have every witnessed!

was closer to even inside the stadium. Maybe 55-45 us but that's about it.

If we had them outnumbered in the stadium you couldn't tell. Their sideline and end zone was all Crimson, ours was all orange. It seems like we had more fans I feel like bc the majority of our fans had the same driving route on GPS.

I sat in the Bama upper deck.

Jan 11, 2017, 2:34 PM

So many Tiger fans that it was never uncomfortable. And trust me, even though they don't have a lot of experience in the department, that fan base can flat roll out of a stadium after they know they are beaten.

Looked about 60/40 to me***
