but I choose to place the responsibility of taxation, as the Constitution does, on Congress. So I'm not very concerned about what Presidents (or candidates) say about taxes and spending.

I'm more interested in what they have to say about where they will put (or not put) the military, what they will do about appointing judges, what they will do about regulations.
