It's not secret I wasn't a fan of the Bush administration, but my heart has softened for ole Dubya over the last few years.
Bush, in a video message Saturday, called for unity, saying:
"Let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat.
In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants. We are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together, and we are determined to rise."
And Trump's response, posted without comment or editing, from his Twitter machine:
.@PeteHegseth “Oh bye the way, I appreciate the message from former President Bush, but where was he during Impeachment calling for putting partisanship aside.” @foxandfriends He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history!

President Bush's call was for partisan unity in the face of a global threat to all people. President Trump's impeachment was a threat to President Trump.
